And its looking good!
If my back can hold up to the challenge I shall be completing the thistle hard wall finish tomorrow ready for the finishing coat of fine plaster to give it that smooth finish. Although I have had a bad time with theback this week, it finally starts feeling better and I know my luck... I'll probably screw it up again!
Anyway... Plastering... I am very pleased with myself, (pats self on back) The walls are actually starting to look like walls again instead of a bomb site. Might actually be ready to paint by next weekend. YAHOO! (Can I say that on MSN?) October 21 Another week passes... Done my bleedin back in!Yes yes yes.
I've actually done my back in which means no DIY! Which means the front room is still in the same state as it was. With any luck though I am mobile again, and I may be able to start plastering this weekend...
LETS BLOODY HOPE SO! October 11 Still not doneYep, thats it, still not done anymore to the front room. Almost all the paper is off the walls now, and I still havn't started plastering. At least I've got most of the blown old plaster off the wall now and can see the extent of the damage. It really is BAAAAD!
Everything is ready to rumble and we now have a deadline of christmas to get it all done. Although doing this has really shown us how much needs doing, and how much can be done to improve the frontroom by about 400%.
Looking forward to the coming weekend. Time to get stuck in. Something tells me I should've taken a week off work to do it really.
I might even add a pic of the finished room. I'm the only one who reads this anyway. LOL
This is how bad it looks at the moment... Just a smidgen though. |
